Admittedly, this looks more like one of Osamu Tezuka's secret projects than one from Ub Iwerks. I think the presence of color is responsible for that.
Nonetheless, I find amazing appeal in this redesign, especially through the emphasis on a curvy silhouette. It certainly beats out whatever Team Ninja did in "Other M"!
